The Grassroots Vegan Fund is remedying this obvious missing component of the vegan movement to engage investors and the greater society at a level not currently possible today via non-profit organizations and vegan business startups alone.

$30 Trillion of Ethical Investment Potential

Vegans and environmentally-minded people control over $30 trillion of retail investments. Yet before the creation of the Grassroots Vegan Fund, they had almost no way to invest in business that are building the vegan economy.

$15 Trillion in Vegan Investment Opportunities

The Grassroots Vegan Fund has identified $15 trillion in vegan investment opportunities. Bringing this Fund to market is an important first step in reallocating a big slice of the vast ethical capital market into high-impact business projects that can make a big difference on the issues that matter most to vegans.

Large Scale Advocacy

Global animal food producers receive an estimated $540 billion worth of government cash subsidies annually, plus benefit from sweetheart laws that create an economic moat around these companies. The Grassroots Vegan Fund aims to expand policy activism to a new scale to help movement leaders rectify these government policies.

At $1 billion under management, the Fund will have over 1 million individual investors. Many will want to help advocate for new government policies and decisions that save animals, ecosystems, and human lives while increasing the value of their investment holdings. This is how the Grassroots Vegan Fund is merging finance and activism to help create a peace-based economy.

Current Status

The project is raising $5 million in non-binding pledges to demonstrate a proof of concept for this pioneering public investment product. Current pledges average $1000 per early investor with several pledges pf $10,000. Early pledges suggest that not more than 5000 total investors will need to pledge to prove that there is a solid market for a Fund of $100 million or more under management.
