Overview
Vision
Throughout my life, I have met or known of thousands of people around who have visions, expertise, and the desire to build enterprises that solve important challenges. Most of their projects could be financially viable, but never come to fruition because the founders can’t cover their personal expenses while working on their mission.
In entrepreneur lingo, this is called “making your nut”. I created the Make My Nut app to solve this one problem — provide recurring monthly income for entrepreneurs and leaders so they can fully pursue their mission without having to subsidize their work with unrelated jobs or gigs.
What’s more, the majority of the worlds countries where this kind of leadership is needed are not well connected to the financial platforms people in the west take for granted today. For example, GoFundMe only supports projects in the 20 most well-connected countries. In contrast, the Make My Nut app allows entrepreneurs and leaders in over 100 countries to directly raise monthly recurring income from supporters who themselves are able to pay for their monthly memberships in over 100 different currencies.

How did I create my vision?
In late 2024, I had an entrepreneur client from South Africa who had a wonderful project but was struggling to commit enough time to his enterprise to raise capital for the next phase, and instead spent every weekday working a day job. This is a very common problem, and I was teaching him my standard method for raising recurring income to replace his day job.
But to my surprise, we discovered that South Africans can’t connect to GoFundMe or Stripe to easily create recurring membership subscriptions, and that none of the other platforms I could find that offered a potential path forward were easy enough to use for this purpose.
I realized that a new, ultra-simple recurring income app was needed specifically to serve all entrepreneurs and leaders everywhere around the world so that they can pay their personal bills and minimal business operating costs and safely focus on taking sequential steps to success in their mission.
But to my surprise, we discovered that South Africans can’t connect to GoFundMe or Stripe to easily create recurring membership subscriptions, and that none of the other platforms I could find that offered a potential path forward were easy enough to use for this purpose.
I realized that a new, ultra-simple recurring income app was needed specifically to serve all entrepreneurs and leaders everywhere around the world so that they can pay their personal bills and minimal business operating costs and safely focus on taking sequential steps to success in their mission.
Milestones
Since 2001, I have been working steadily to provide mentoring and financial solutions to entrepreneurs and leaders working on projects that are a good fit for my personal mission
In 2023, I began developing the new concepts and recurring payment technology currently working on the markwinstein.com website.
In January 2024, I partnered with a global payment processor and began developing the technology I was using myself into a streamlined global SAAS (software as a service) platform that I could easily provide to mission-driven people everywhere.
Current Status: The MakeMyNut app is about 100 hours of development away from initial public release. I plan to launch the app by the end of 2025.

Budget
Using the same methods I teach my students, the hard operating costs of the MakeMyNut project at this stage are under US$100 per month. However, also like many of my students, I am not being financially compensated for my labor to develop the technology and training modules.
