Amazing response, Mark... really appreciate it!

A tip for you and your readers... talk to Infusionsoft towards the end of the month (when they are working to hit sales quotas), and you can likely get a substantially better up-front start-up fee, as well as a much better monthly amount.

I promised to Infusion that I wouldn't disclose to others what I am paying, but let's just say that negotiating is one of the highest per/hour activities a person can engage in.

A few questions can save you literally thousands of dollars over the lifetime of your account - whether OA or Infusion.

And to add to your debate about OA vs. Infusion... by two cents is that sooner or later you just need to pick one, and hit it hard. Even if you make the wrong decision, you will usually be further ahead than if you make no decision at all and keep your business / product / service on the sidelines longer than it needs to be.

I've loved Infusion's customer support, eagerness to serve me and answer all my questions, as well as their online tutorials, how-to videos, live support chat, live phone support.... the whole nine yards.

Mark, thanks for being a great resource to all of us :)

Hi Tim,

If you're solidly on board with Infusionsoft, using InfusionWP is the only way to go in my mind, unless you value your time and energy at zero!

However, more and more these days I'm sending people to <a href="http://www.officeautopilot.com/?ref=446337&" rel="nofollow">Office Autopilot</a> if they want a powerful, easy to use WordPress membership site. In OA you can set up unlimited WordPress membership sites and you can easily insert merge fields into your member pages. Before OA added this feature, Infusionsoft + InfusionWP was the only realistic way to get this kind of power feature.

OA currently costs $297.00 a month. Infusionsoft coss $1500 up front plus $297.00 a month, plus you'll spend about $70 a month for InfusionWP for just one membership site. InfusionWP offers a lot of extra "power features" but I find most people don't really need all of that to accomplish their goals. I also like the fact that Office Autopilot's membership integration is supported by a reasonably substantial company with live tech support M-F. The folks at InfusionWP are really great, but sometimes it takes a while to get help if you need any handholding.

OA has a very cool sequence system that lets your powerfully track the results of your email campaigns, including four-way split tests. This one benefit alone can make a huge difference to the actual performance of your online business and is my favorite feature of the whole system.

OA and Infusionsoft both offer Order Forms. Insfusionsoft's order forms allow for some very complex offers and payment plans. Infusionsoft also has a built in shopping cart while OA uses a 1-click integration with 1ShoppingCart.

It's not a simple choice. Infusionsoft and OA are the two main platforms I develop on for online business clients. I advise people getting ready to make the move from aWeber or MailChimp to an automation platform like Infusionsoft or Office Autopilot to compare features carefully because setting up either these platforms is a substantial investment of time and money and also a core design factor that will shape your business for a long time.

Thanks Mark for sharing your experience...

I have enjoyed WP + WLM + Aweber + PayPal for basic membership sites... am now graduating to Infusionsoft + Merchant Account, and needed an insight on integration with WP via (potentially) WLM.

Seeing your blog post here has saved me many hours of frustration. I am likely going to go get InfusionWP and not analyze or question the situation much further than that.

Thanks!

Truth be told, I finally got an iPhone in July. The phone was so nice, I got an iMac. It's nice to use technology that works without requiring a support team on staff. Goodbye Sony, goodbye Microsoft.

The problem is that the p910 doesn’t track changes in daylight savings time, and Sony never took the time to fix this error. So you have to fix it yourself twice a year!

Every time daylight savings goes into or out of effect, you need to delete this file from your p910i operating system:

c:\system\data\GmtOffset.ini

The way to find and delete this file is to use a program called Epochware File Manager. The exact name of the trial version is FileManagerDemo.exe.

After syncing my Sony Ericsson P910 with Outlook 2003, I noticed that all my appointments on the handset are two hours out (the same appointment is two hours later on my P910 than on my PC)! I checked the time-zone settings on both devices and they are the same! Is there a setting I forgot to set somewhere? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Spencer,

This is not a native feature of Infusionsoft that will run from an Action Set. You'll have to program this into the HTML of the Upsell page.

Just as you'll need to pass your customer's email address to the Upsell form using PHP or javascript, you'd also pass their billing address info to your Upsell page or pull it into the page using Infusionsoft's API.

"OnClick" is a standard javascript function built into most clickable HTML form objects. There's a ton of info on the web on how to use OnClick to call a function that can hide or reveal HTML objects like fields and set field values. Jquery is powerful form of Javascript that can be used here, too.

Best regards,
Mark

Thank you so much for the response...

It all makes sense except for the; "..."“onclick” function attached to the radio selection box."

What action set from the drop down menu would allow the shipping fields to pop up?

This is much appreciated...I am so close to getting this campaign out the door and just stuck on this upsell feature...

Cheers,
